Newport Beach, CA (March 3, 2014) – Pelican Point Capital Partners, LLC., announces the appointment of Sailesh Chittipeddi, Ph.D. as an adviser to its board. Sailesh’s extensive operating background, senior management and board level experience in the areas of semiconductor technology, high tech manufacturing, corporate restructuring and strategy in private and public ownership will further our firms Merchant Banking efforts in the technology sector.
Sailesh brings a strong knowledge of technology and operations coupled with strong financial discipline and will be focused on bringing this expertise to the transaction arena for Pelican Point Capital Partners, LLC.
Sailesh was most recently the President and CEO of Conexant Systems, Inc., as well as a board member for all of its international subsidiaries. He was the President and Chief Operating Officer of the company when Conexant Systems, Inc. was taken private in 2011. Following its being taken private he successfully led the company through a pre-packaged bankruptcy process in less than 120 days allowing the resulting entity to re-emerge successfully without long-term secured debt. Earlier at Conexant Systems he held the roles of Co-President, Executive Vice-President Global Operations and Chief Technology Officer, as well as, Senior Vice-President Global Operations.
Prior to Conexant Systems, Inc. he held various senior technology and operations roles at Agere Systems, Lucent Technologies and AT&T Bell Labs. Sailesh holds 64 patents and over
40 publications and was awarded the 1st ever Agere Systems Innovation Award in 2003 for recognizing valuable patents. “Having known Sailesh personally for many years, Sailesh brings a high level of business management and strategy coupled with a keen focus in technology.
